Private sellers and dealers who need to sell vehicles need to get Pre Purchase inspection done of the vehicle they intent to sell. The next step is to check the car engine. This is very important as the engine is the heart of the car and it needs to be in good condition for the car to work properly. Therefore a thorough and detailed check needs to be done on different components of the engine. First thing to check here is any leaks or corrosion, the engine should be clean and free of leaks. There should be no black deposit on the oil neck filler. The batter too needs to be free of corrosion. The engine should start quickly on ignition and have a good sound and there should be no burning or foul odor from the engine.

The next on the check list is the car interiors. The seat should be worn out and should adjust properly. The seat belts should be in good condition and functional. Other accessories like heater, AC, stereo should be working fine. The wipers and wiper fluids should also be checked. The doors are to open and shut freely and should not make any noise while opening and closing. The windows, alarm, headlights, hazard lights, etc. should be checked and must be in working condition.

You may also want to check the chassis and ensure that they are not bent. The trunk should be straight and frame holes must be free of scratches. The automatic transmission fluid has to be clean and not dirty as it indicates an internal transmission problem. It must not delay or slip while driving. The gears must move smoothly. The brakes must be free and functioning well. The vehicle should not pull to one side while applying brakes. The steering should also be aligned properly. It should be freely moving without making any clicking when it is turned. The records and papers related to the vehicle have to be present in the dashboard along with the title of the owner.
