Lumber Custom truck tarps: This type of custom truck tarps is generally used to cover lumbers. Since they are to protect lumbers they are made of heavy-duty materials like PVC or Polyethene. The same materials are used to make tarps like dam liners. By this only you can get an idea of how strong these lumber custom truck tarps are. Though, the main purpose of lumber tarps is to protect the lumbers from the external elements that can harm the lumbers, it can also be used loads that require plenty of extensions, or high rising loads.
The benefit of lumber custom truck tarp is that you can get it made according to the size of your load and truck. However, lumber tarps are manufactured in such a way that they can be used with loads which can rise up to a height of 8 feet.
Steel Custom truck tarps: Just as lumber truck tarps are designed usually to cover lumbers, steel tarps are designed to cover steel loads like rods, pipes, sheets, cables, etc. They are specially designed and manufactured by using materials that are highly water resistant. Since the steel products are always vulnerable to rust, it is important to cover them with a custom truck tarp that is highly water resistant. It should be able to keep the load dry in case of heavy rain also.

Steel custom truck tarps are also made of heavy-duty materials just like the lumber tarps. But the difference is in the design. The length of steel tarp is the same as the lumber tarps, but they differ in terms of width. Since steel load doesn’t tend to rise as much as lumber loads the width of the steel tarps is less than the lumber tarps.
Mesh Custom truck tarps: these are the most common heavy-duty truck tarps. The mesh custom truck tarps can be easily seen on dump trucks. Unlike steel and lumber custom truck tarps, mesh tarps are not made of heavy materials. Therefore, a mesh truck tarp is unable to protect your load from extreme weather conditions. Moreover, the mesh custom truck tarps are not waterproof. However, mesh tarps are mostly used to cover loads that don’t get damaged due to moisture. Another problem of mesh truck tarp is that it gets damaged quickly, that is it is not highly durable also.
Though mesh custom truck tarps come with a number of disadvantages, they are the most commonly used. They are lightweight thus making them easy to carry, durable. Moreover, they are available in a wide range of colors. One of the major benefits of mash truck tarps is that because of its mesh structure air can easily pass through it. Due to this, the load doesn’t get damaged because of the moisture.
